From the hallowed team behind the smash hit theatrical farce The Play That Goes Wrong comes a Christmas play in danger of falling apart at any minute - A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong! Hitting the road 2025 festive season, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields (otherwise known as the minds behind Mischief Theatre)'s hilarious stage show comes following a televised version in 2017.
In the years since The Play that Goes Wrong landed in London (where Telegraph theatre critic Charles Spencer heralded it as the funniest thing he'd seen since Noises Off), the Mischief Theatre empire, has gone on to dominate the West End with more bonkers productions, including Magic Goes Wrong, The Comedy About A Bank Robbery, and a Christmas panto send up - Peter Pan Goes Wrong.
The Cornley Amateur Dramatic Society are about to put on their grand staging of Charles Dickens' festive classic, A Christmas Carol. But as show day approaches the group become more and more beset by setbacks, with crossed wires, calamitous set design, arguments about who gets to be the star of the show and awol actors. Will they manage to pull it all together in time for Christmas?
